Placements

Rural, coastal, in town or in the heart of the picturesque Lake District. As an intern you can expect to get involved in different aspects of church life. These are some examples of what current and past interns with the Northern Young Leaders Project have been involved with: worship, Bible studies, pastoral visits with clergy, wellbeing spaces, youth clubs, going into schools, care home visits, preaching, toddler groups, Messy church, pioneering and much more!

Future Youth Interns will be based with a youth or children’s focused organisation or one of Cumbria’s Network Youth Churches working with young people and children. This might involve working with children and young people in schools or local churches, youth clubs, after school clubs or at county wide events.

Interns are usually, but not always, based with a host family whilst on placement with us.
